For the United Nations’ International Children’s Day, staff, students, and volunteers took to the corridors of Addenbrooke’s to promote child health on a large scale as part of the ‘Healthy Child, Healthy World’ initiative.
It was a fantastic day with music, dancing, art from local children and even a flashmob in the concourse! Most importantly, students were able to get involved with pediatrics and spread the word about key global issues including:
- global nutrition (obesity, malnutrition),
- children of war, poverty,
- sex trade,
- divorce and family relationships
- road safety
